Top Gear est une des émissions emblématiques de la BBC (Chaine Britanique), diffusée sur la chaîne de télévision BBC Two.

Lancée en 1977, elle connaît toujours aujourd’hui un vif succès. L’émission est consacrée aux voitures et au sport automobile. Top Gear a crée le buzz en mettant en scène l’une des stars du programme. Non pas James May, ni Richard Hammond ou encore Jeremy Clarkson, les trois animateurs vedettes du show, mais… le Stig, le désormais célébrissime pilote masqué!

Clad in a black jumper and grey T-shirt, the 24 actor pulled on a tight-fitting safety helmet as he got to grips with the red Vauxhall Astra on the track at Dunsfold Park in Surrey. Luckily the show’s resident driving instructor Stig was on hand to offer advice to the American star, who first had to get used to a steering wheel on the other side of the car.

La chaîne britannique publique BBC Two a diffusé ce dimanche 1er février le deuxième épisode de la saison 22 de Top Gear . Pour cette nouvelle aventure, l’équipe testait la BMW M6 Gran Coupe, une Bentley Continental GT V8S, et la Nissan GT-R.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond et James May recevaient ainsi l’acteur Kiefer Sutherland. Le divertissement automobile a séduit à partir de 20 heures 5.34 millions de téléspectateurs. La part d’audience a atteint 20% auprès de l’ensemble du public âgé de 4 ans et plus.

Il s’agit d’une performance inférieur à la série Call the Midwife qui a rassemblé 8.94 millions d’Anglais sur BBC One (33.5% du public), mais supérieure au jeu Une Famille en Or spéciale célébrité sur ITV et ses 2.34 millions de fidèles, soit 8.8% de part de marché. toutelatele.com

Kiefer Sutherland a avoué que toute l'expérience le terrifiait.
Il a terminé son circuit de piste en Angleterre, par un temps mouillé, en 1 minute, 49, 2 secondes, une fraction plus rapide que le chanteur James Blunt, ce qui signifie Sutherland dirige maintenant la liste de vitesse pour les tours humides.
Cependant, il a admis qu'il avait des doutes au sujet de sa participation quand il a été conduit sur le parcours de course par l'expert de Top Gear, The Stig.
Sutherland dit à Jeremy Clarkson : "Tout d'abord, ce fut une expérience incroyable, je dois dire. Je regarde ce spectacle depuis des années, je me suis moqué des gens qui conduisent cette voiture tout le temps, et pendant le temps que le Stig roule, je suis comme, "Oh, je souhaite n’avoir jamais ri de personne conduire cette voiture. Cela m’a fait une peur bleue".

Kiefer Sutherland set a new target time for his fellow stars when he raced a car around a track for British Tv show Top Gear, but confessed the whole experience terrified him.
The 24 actor took part in the motoring show's Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment, and his rain-drenched lap, which was broadcast in the U.K. on Sunday (01 Feb 15), set a new record. He completed his circuit of the track in England in one minute, 49.2 seconds, fractions quicker than singer James Blunt, meaning Sutherland now leads the speed list for wet laps.

However, the Tv action man admitted he had second thoughts about taking part when he was driven around the course by Top Gear's resident racing expert, The Stig. Sutherland told host Jeremy Clarkson, "First of all, it's an amazing experience, I have to say. I have been watching this show for years, I've been making fun of people driving this car all the time, and the whole time while The Stig is driving I'm like, 'Oh, I wish I never made fun of anybody driving this car'.
